Alright, fam, it’s time to shine a spotlight on some of the incredible individuals who are making Takoma Park Middle School such an amazing place! This month, we’re absolutely thrilled to feature Maria Garcia from the 7th grade. Maria has been consistently demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, not just within her own classes but also through her active involvement in the Student Government Association (SGA). She recently spearheaded a fantastic initiative to organize a school-wide recycling drive, which saw an unprecedented level of participation. Her dedication to making our school more environmentally friendly is truly inspiring. Maria isn't just about academics and leadership; she's also a talented artist. Her latest watercolor piece, depicting a vibrant local park, was selected for display at the community art gallery downtown.
